The Female Landscape: Rethinking the Body through the Photographic Image and Beyond at the VBKÖ (March 2022)
Curated by Paula Marschalek & Alexandra Steinacker for C/20 Association for International Curatorial Practice
The female body as landscape was investigated through a feminist lens, exploring the various facettes and intermedial states of being a woman. How we define what nature is today was pulled into question. The exhibition aimed to further the discussion of rethinking the landscapes not only of the female body, but also of artistic practice and medium specificity within the arts.

Sexualisierung & Selbstbestimmung at Parallel Art Fair, Vienna (September 2021)
Exhibiting at PARALLEL 2021, artist Julia Bugram's project Sexualisierung & Selbstbestimmung, or 'Sexualization & Self-Determination' curated by Alexandra Steinacker and Paula Marschalek for C/20, critically analyzed the complex themes encompassed in the title through a broad range of mediums and subjects. Combined with works by Gloria Dimmel, the theme of the constant confrontation of self-image and social idealization of the female body makes the relevance of their work unequivocal.
